GEMMA QUARTERMAN
Having played guitar for the most of her life, it only became the focus of Gemma Quarterman’s efforts in her early twenties, as she fell into a long relationship with songwriting and performing. Now, having found her voice and her place on the stage, it is exciting to see what Gemma Quarterman can produce.Listening to Gemma, it is easy to see why this is the path she chose, with a beautiful and captivating yet stunningly haunting vocal style backed with delicate and intricate guitar playing, all wrapped around autobiographical lyrics, spelling out the highs and lows of love, life, friends and enemies.
2009 will see Gemma join the Godmonkey Recordings roster, with an EP release on September 14th. Having already taken her music to Hungary and New York, the UK will be treated to a nationwide tour to back the release, and will include an appearance at the highly-credible Moseley Folk Festival.
