IDIOSYNC
Idiosync are a group of friends that met through their love of music whilst at college with one another. The band formed in August 2008 and initially began by playing a handful of instrumental shows in their local area, then Idiosync officially entered the music scene in February 2009 and have been playing regular shows ever since. The band’s sound is a blend of a wide array of influences which has led to them now being heralded as the founders of a new genre known as ‘art-beat’; primarily a blend of art-rock and breakbeat. This new sound coupled with wildly energetic on-stage performances and mass appeal has earned Idiosync an ever-growing loyal fan base that consistently arrive in their droves to the band’s shows all over the UK’s Midlands.Idiosync have just become the latest act to join Godmonkey Recordings and will see the release of their debut 5 track E.P. entitled ‘Symbiosis’ which they self-produced and engineered, and was mixed by Al Groves (The Rascals, Elvis Costello, The Zutons, The Scarlet Harlots, Tantrums) and mastered by Sam Manville of Blakfish.
One-hundred limited edition pre-release copies of ‘Symbiosis’ are on now, available from select branches of HMV as well as directly from the band at shows on their UK tour currently, and full release will be available in September .
“This cool as fuck four-piece sound like Foals clawing apart Bloc Party with one hand while gouging out the eyes of Maps and Atlases with the other. The place erupts as they launch into ‘Shards’ - The Fly
“It’s been a while since I've heard a band pull off blending so many genres of music into their style of writing. There's a heavy dance feel to get yer feet moving. Thrown in for good measure are some pretty cool synth/effects goin' on in there too.” – GotSeeN.com
"Falsettos - shout-outs & screams punctuate this guitar stabbing riot - a head down stomper" - 13Shuffle.com
